DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT KEENE FIRE DEPARTMENT

It is with deep regret that the Chief of the Department announces the death of Retired Deputy Fire Chief Chester “Chet” Dubriske. Deputy Chief Dubriske passed away this morning at his home. Deputy Chief Dubriske started his career in the Keene Fire Department as a Sub- assigned to the Steamer Company on May 26, 1952. He became a career member on April 22, 1956. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on Nov. 13, 1971. On April 1, 1973, he was promoted to the rank of Captain. He was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief on Nov. 3, 1983 and later retired on August 1, 1988.

Deputy Chief Dubriske had many great years of retirement with his family and friends.

Our condolences go out to his wife of 64 years Bette and the entire Dubriske family including Retired Firefighter James Dubriske (son) and his wife Judy.

Funeral arrangements:

· Calling hours - Friday June 6, 2014 from 1800-2000 hours at the Foley Funeral Home on Court Street. KFD members are requested to be at the Central Station in Class “A” Uniform by 1745 hours to attend as a group.

Funeral Service with Fire Department Honors will be Saturday June 7, 2014 at 1000 hours at St. Bernard’s Church on Main Street. Personnel are requested to be at the Central Station in Class “A” Uniform by 0830 hours Saturday morning.

The funeral procession will leave Foley’s at 0930 hours, travel Court Street to Vernon to proceed by the Central Fire Station. Procession will continue to Washington Street turning south into Central Square and then south on Main Street to St. Bernard’s. KFD Honor Guard, “Rosie” and all KFD uniformed personnel will be part of that procession to St. Bernard’s.

Following the Funeral Service, the burial will take place at St. Josephs Cemetery on lower Main Street.
