In 2016, Fire Mutual Aid Dispatch Center dispatched 19,670 incidents. From 2014, this is an increase of 1,715 incidents in a two year period. The incidents range from a medical house call with a single unit responding to major motor vehicle accidents and multiple alarm fires with many units and towns responding. For instance, the 190 acre brush fire in April in Stoddard was counted as one incident but lasted for days with many resources sent. The workload in this case was enormous for the dispatchers on duty to coordinate such a huge response. The number of incidents per year clearly does not define the constant workload in the dispatch center.
