Southwestern New Hampshire District Fire Mutual Aid System, with a membership of 78 cities and towns in NH and VT., has an opening for a Chief Coordinator. This highly visible public safety position is involved in all aspects of planning, organizing, and managing the Communication Center and the District Fire Mutual Aid System. Duties include establishing and maintaining operating standards and procedures designed to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and laws, budget preparation, human resources management, as well as overseeing operation of system radio shop. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma; college degree in business or fire science is preferred. Firefighter II or Career Level Certification. Candidate should have outstanding leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills, with at least five years of supervisory experience. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with member towns, civic groups, and the public. Successful grant writing skills are essential. Experience in the operation of a public safety communication center is preferred. A competitive salary and benefit package is offered.
