SAXTONS RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOLD EMR COURSE.

2014 EMRCourse Meeting Days and Times: Every Tuesday Night from 1800-2200 and every other Saturday from 0800-1700. Starts: 1/7/14 with national practicals on 3/8/14 Course Location: 44 Main Street, Saxtons River, VT. Course Cost: $250. Cost includes: Textbook, Student Workbook, Online Course Materials, Practice Activities, Navigate TestPrep and Course Materials.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 12/06/2013 Course Description: The Emergency Medical Responder course prepares the EMR student to provide emergency prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include an introduction to emergency medical services systems, roles and responsibilities of EMRs, anatomy and physiology, medical emergencies, trauma, and special considerations for working in the prehospital setting. This class is approved by Vermont EMS and at the completion of this course, students will have the ability to complete the NREMT test.

For New Hampshire Students: After course completion, I will aid you in completing all neccessary paperwork in order to obtain your New Hampshire EMR License.

Nine years ago today on December 4, 2004 - Wilder Block Fire at 32 Main St. in Brattleboro. Extensive mutual aid including many ladder trucks operated on the scene. One person was air lifted from BMH with serious burns. Dispatchers on duty were Tom Redin and Penny Curtis.Wilder Block 05 120404
