27 years ago on March 2, 1986 - Fatal Fire at 15 Canal St. Brattleboro. A child died after being rescued by firefighters. Two adults were also rescued. Many heroic efforts by Brattleboro firefighters in the first few minutes of this early morning fire.
FORESTRY SUPPER AND MEETING
The Cheshire County Forest Fire Wardens Association will be holding their March meeting, for anyone interested, whether members or not, on Tuesday, Mar. 5, 2013, at the Jaffrey Fire Station on Turnpike Road, in Jaffrey, N.H. The Supper will be at 7:00 pm and the meeting will start promptly at 8:00 p.m. All area fire personnel are welcome.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT
UPDATED DATE The Greenfield NH Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of Assistant Chief Clifford “Spuddy†Russell. Chief Russell served the department for fifty years in various capacities including Assistant Chief and Forest Fire Warden. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 1300-1500 at the Greenfield Meeting House with a memorial service immediately following. Fire Department personnel are requested to attend in “full dress†uniform.
