It is with regret the Winchester Fire Department announces the passing of Gerald "Jerry" Butler. Jerry was a lifetime member of the fire department serving as a driver for thirty years. Calling hours are Wednesday February 13 from 1800 to 2000 hours at the Cheshire Family Funeral Home in Swanzey.

All Cheshire County fire officers are invited to attend a meeting of the Keene Area Fire Chiefs on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 1830 hours. This group has been meeting in recent years on an informal basis to share knowledge and arrange group trainings and drills. We are looking to expand this group to include any interested officers from all fire departments in Cheshire County towns.
