It is with regret the Keene Fire Department announce the passing of retired Call Lt. Alexander Matson Sr. Calling hours are Sunday February 17, 2013 from 1500-1800 hours at the Foley Funeral Home Court Street Keene. There is no funeral.

It is with regret the Winchester Fire Department announces the passing of Gerald "Jerry" Butler. Jerry was a lifetime member of the fire department serving as a driver for thirty years. Calling hours are Wednesday February 13 from 1800 to 2000 hours at the Cheshire Family Funeral Home in Swanzey.

ATTENTION CHESHIRE COUNTY FIRE OFFICERS

All Cheshire County fire officers are invited to attend a meeting of the Keene Area Fire Chiefs on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 1830 hours. This group has been meeting in recent years on an informal basis to share knowledge and arrange group trainings and drills. We are looking to expand this group to include any interested officers from all fire departments in Cheshire County towns. If you have questions or are interested in attending this meeting, please RSVP by March 25 to Deputy Chief Mike Fuller, Spofford Fire Department, at 29fyrnut@gmail.com or 603-363-8202. Once attendance numbers are known, a central location for this meeting will be determined and emailed to those who RSVP.
