Langdon Fire Department will hold their annual Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, May 8th, 8-11am at the Masonic Hall in Langdon, NH. Cost is $6/ adult, $4/ children, and it is all you can eat. Regular pancakes, blueberry pancakes, bacon, sausage, oj, coffee, and real local maple syrup will be served.
CLASS IN JAFFREY
There will be a NFPA 54 Code class put on by The State of NH Division of Fire Safety’s Bureau of Building Safety & Construction’s Mechanical Safety & Licensing Section. Wednesday May 4th, 2011 at the Jaffrey Fire Station 138 Turnpike Road Starting at 18:00 hrs.
The class will provide NFPA 54 Code information for local Fire Chiefs, Fire Inspectors and Code Officials that are involved in LP Gas Inspections in their communities.
The class will be approximately 2 hours and will include time for questions and answers from the participants

KEENE FIRE DEPARTMENT DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT
It is with deep regret the City of Keene Fire Department announces the passing of Captain Armand Jacques- Retired Steamer Company. Captain Jacques served the City of Keene for 31 years and retired as Captain of the Steamer Company on January 1, 1988.
A Full Fire Department Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church located on Arch Street in Keene. Mass will start at 1000 hours.
All Fire Department personnel are requested to be at the Keene Fire Department Central Station for 0900 hours in Class “A†uniform.
The calling hours will be held Friday April 29, 2011 from 1800- 2000 hours at the Foley Funeral Home located at 49 Court Street Keene.
All Fire Department personnel attending the calling hours are asked to meet at the Central Fire Station at 1800 hours in Class “A†uniform.
There will be no burial following mass.
CHESHIRE COUNTY FOREST FIRE WARDEN'S ASSOCIATION MEETING
The Cheshire County Forest Fire Warden’s Association will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 3rd in Westmoreland, NH. Dinner will be at 1900 hours, meeting at 2000 hours, and entertainment at 2030 hours. This is the annual Ladies’ Night. There will be gifts for all the ladies and entertainment will be by Jason Purdy, comedian and magician. All are welcome to attend.

187 Michael Ave – 1st alarm was struck at 0317 hrs. 2nd alarm was struck at 0330 hrs. Units to the scene was Charlestown, Springfield Engine, North Walpole Engine, Langdon Engine and Cascade, 2 tankers from Walpole, tanker from Rockingham and a tanker from Westminster. Claremont engine covered Charlestown and Alstead covered the Langdon Station.

Fire Service Bell uncovered. The bell was generously donated to Fire Mutual Aid by Bob and Rachel Bartlett from Hopkinton,Ma. Bob is a great friend to the fire service and to our mutual aid system. This bell will be used at firefighters' funerals for tapping out the "Last Call".
