WATER RESCUE TRAINING
A two-day Swiftwater Rescue Technician Course will be conducted at the Lifesaving Resources' Water & Ice Rescue Training Center in historic Harrisville (NH) on April 30 (Saturday) and May 01 (Sunday), from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. The purpose of this intensive 2-day training program is to provide First Responders with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively respond to incidents in, on, and around the water.
Day 1 of the course consists of 4.5-hours classroom, followed by a 4.5-hour in-water practical session conducted in a static water environment. Day 2 is conducted entirely in a moving water environment.
This course meets and exceeds NFPA 1670 Standard for Technical Rescue. Tuition includes books, materials, snacks, lunches, and insignia.
The annual International Water Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy will be conducted in Keene, New Hampshire May 19 - 22 (Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon). Similar to the Ice Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy, it includes over 32 hours of contact hours during which time participants are trained as Water and Swiftwater Rescue Instructors. Upon successful completion of the Academy, graduates are authorized to conduct Water Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses, as well as Swiftwater Rescue Technician courses, on behalf of their own departments.
