Vermont Fire Academy Course AnnouncementCourse: Fire Instructor I Location: Londonderry Rescue Squad Building Orientation Date: Tuesday, January 9, 2018 Registration Deadline: Tuesday, December 26, 2017 Time: Weeknight class time: 1800 - 2200 Weekend class time: 0800 - 1700

Attendance at every class meeting is mandatory for successful completion of this course.
This program is designed to qualify fire service responders to deliver instruction from a prepared lesson plan. Upon successful completion, students are awarded nationally registered certifications in accordance with NFPA 1041, Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications, 2012 edition.
Prerequisites: - Currently active with three years of experience in fire or emergency services - High school diploma or equivalent - Current Firefighter I or higher or equivalent EMS certification (EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic)
To register, download the General Admission Application, fill it out and return it to the Vermont Fire Academy by the registration deadline. Priority will go to Vermont Firefighters. Applicants who are EMS providers and not Firefighters must submit a copy of their EMS license with the general admission application. The class minimum is 8 students and the class maximum is 12 students.
Please note students will need a laptop/computer access for homework assignments.
Fire Instructor I certification is prerequisite for Fire Officer certification and required for employment as a Vermont Fire Academy Instructor.
DISPATCHER TRAINING CONFERENCE
Any and all dispatchers are welcome to attend. You don't have to work in NH to attend this conference.
