27 years ago today on January 14, 1989 - 4 family members perished in an apartment building fire at 88 High St. in Keene. Dispatchers on duty were Dispatcher Bonnie Johnson and Dispatcher Joe Sangermano. 5 years ago on January 14, 2011 - 3 alarm fire at 100 Pearl St. in Keene. Dispatchers on duty were Dispatcher Jay French and Dispatcher Virginia Gilman.
3 years ago today on January 14, 2013 - 3 alarms with additional companies on scene above 3rd alarm - Barn fire at Center and Mountain Rd in Lyndeborough. Dispatchers on duty were Lt. David Whipple, Dispatcher Jay French and Part time Dispatcher Ashton Nyre.

Application Period has opened and will remain open until March 4th. After that date we do case by case accommodations. April 12 & 13 is candidate and new Proctor Orientation at Laconia Ice Arena May 11th is the Written test on the 11th Edition Test Manual here at Fire academy June 7,8, and 14th is the CPAT testing. Date could expand or contract due to number of Candidates signed up but usually can fit into those dates

FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Newbrook Fire and Rescue regrets to announce the passing of Honorary Life Member Robert Culver. Bob was the last surviving founding member of Newbrook Fire and Rescue, attending his last meeting just a week ago. Bob was chief of the Alplaus N.Y. Fire Department from 1968 – 1978 with 50 years of active service there. He was Deputy County Coordinator for Schenectady County NY from 1976 – 1999 and was instrumental in getting the 911 system operating for Schenectady County.Funeral Services will be held at the Newfane Congregational Church in Newfane Vt. at 12:30 pm on Sunday January 17, 2016. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Newbrook fire station following the service. Personnel planning on attending the service can meet in dress uniform at the Newbrook fire station at 11:45 hours.
