Nine years ago today on December 4, 2004 - Wilder Block Fire at 32 Main St. in Brattleboro. Extensive mutual aid including many ladder trucks operated on the scene. One person was air lifted from BMH with serious burns. Dispatchers on duty were Tom Redin and Penny Curtis.

During the height of the wind from 09:30 to 17:30, the day shift, Lt. Whipple, Dispatcher Gilman and Dispatcher Moore dispatched 71 calls, most of them for wind related emergencies.
