A BUSY 12 HOURS AT THE DISPATCH CENTER
Yesterday, September 12, 2013 from around noon to midnight many thunder storms came through our dispatch area. The dispatch center handled 107 calls in this time period ranging from lightning strikes to buildings and people, to flooding with people stuck in a vehicle, along with the normal every day calls. Great job by the following employees that were on duty. Chief Tirrell, Deputy Sangermano, Deputy Johnson, Dispatcher French, Dispatcher Dupre, Part time Dispatcher Nyre, Lt. Yeatman and Dispatcher Kazlouskas.
PROPANE TANK STRUCK BY LIGHTNING
Winhall FD was dispatched on 9/10/2013 at 10:22 hours to 5 The Hollow Rd for what was believed to be a brush fire. Upon arrival crews discovered an underground propane tank venting and on fire. As of noon on 9/11/2013, crews are still on the scene while the product burns off. South Londonderry sent personnel, an engine and a water monitor to assist. Picture provided to Fire Mutual Aid.

The Peterborough Fire and Rescue Explorer Post #808 will be holding a pig roast on September 14th at the Peterborough Sportsman Club on Old Peterborough Rd. off of Old Dublin Rd.The event will begin at 6PM Department members from outside agencies are $10.00 with department ID. ON THIS DATE IN HISTORY
11 years ago today on September 2, 2002 - Seven members of a family perished in a fiery plane crash off Route 12 by the Swanzey Diner in Swanzey. Dispatchers on duty were Ed Mattson, Tom Redin and Matt Yeatman.
ACWORTH OPEN HOUSE AND CEREMONY HELD TODAY
