JOHN ALSO SERVED AS A BOARD OF DIRECTOR FOR SOUTHWESTERN NH DISTRICT FIRE MUTUAL AID SYSTEM AND WAS AN ADVOCATE FOR STARTING THE BENNINGTON FIRE EXPLORER POST.CALLING HOURS WILL BE TUESDAY AUGUST 13 FROM 1700-1900 AT JELLISON FUNERAL HOME ON CONCORD ST IN PETERBOROUGH. GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE WEDNESDAY AUGUST 14 AT 1000 HOURS AT EVERGREEN CEMETARY ON OLD STAGECOACH RD IN BENNINGTON, FOLLOWED BY A MEMORIAL SERVICE AT BENNINGTON CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH ON FRANCESTOWN RD AT 1100 HOURS. FIRE DEPARTMENT MEMBERS WISHING TO ATTEND PLEASE WEAR CLASS A UNIFORM IF AVAILABLE.

NEW HAZARD ALERT - LIGHT WEIGHT STAIRS
Instead of 2" x 12" stringers, this new lightweight constructed stairs are made of a 2"' x 4" running the entire length of the stairs on the side. While the stair treads and risers are made up of 3/4" OSB. The triangles and the edges are capped with lightweight steel held by glue and nails. It has been reported in a main staircase (1st to 2nd floor) the underside would be covered with drywall for added protection, but when used in an unfinished basement, the stairs would be left as seen.
