Methamphetamine and Clandestine Drug Lab Awareness Class

BELLOWS FALLS FIRE DEPARTMENT AND BELLOWS FALLS PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS

The Bellows Falls Fire Department and the Bellows Falls Professional Fire Fighters L4473 are sponsoring a Methamphetamine and Clandestine Drug Lab Awareness for First Responders training session.

This three hour informational session is presented by Lt. Jim Cruise and Lt. Reg Trayah of the Vermont State Police Fire Investigation Division.

This training is a must have for all levels of first responders in the Ems, fire and law enforcement fields.

The training is scheduled for May 06, 2010, commencing at 6:30 pm in the Bellows Falls Theater, on the Square in Bellows Falls.

Light refreshments will be available.

Training is open to all mutual aid system departments.

A certificate of attendance will be mailed to each participant attending the session.

ANNUAL MEETING APRIL 21,2010

The Annual Meeting of the Southwestern NH District Fire Mutual Aid System will be held on Wednesday April 21,2010 at 1900 hours at the Best Western Hotel 401 Winchester St. Keene,NH.There will be a display of apparatus and equipment at 1730 hours. All departments are welcome to bring equipment to display.All departments in the system are urged to have a representative attend. The New Location Committee will be reporting on the future location of the dispatch center and radio repair shop.

Keene Fire Department new 18’ Technical Rescue Trailer carries equipment for Trench, Building and Confined Space Response. This unit will supplement Rescue 1 on all appropriate incidents. The unit features:• Trench shores • Whalers • Additional rescue struts • Portable lights and generator • Small tools • Cribbing Keene special rescue trailer

Boat 1: 2010 SeaWolf-Survivor Rescue Boat. Boat measures 15.5’ and has a load capacity of 2500 pounds. Boat is powered by an Evinrude 40HP ETEC motor. Unit is designed specifically for water rescue applications. Boat was purchased from Response Marine located in Newburyport Mass.
