NEW KEENE EQUIPMENT

Keene Fire Department new 18’ Technical Rescue Trailer carries equipment for Trench, Building and Confined Space Response. This unit will supplement Rescue 1 on all appropriate incidents. The unit features:• Trench shores • Whalers • Additional rescue struts • Portable lights and generator • Small tools • Cribbing

Boat 1: 2010 SeaWolf-Survivor Rescue Boat. Boat measures 15.5’ and has a load capacity of 2500 pounds. Boat is powered by an Evinrude 40HP ETEC motor. Unit is designed specifically for water rescue applications. Boat was purchased from Response Marine located in Newburyport Mass.

MEADOWOOD NEW RESCUE TRUCK

The Meadowood County Area Fire Department recently purchased and put into service the former Keene Fire Department's Rescue truck. The 1993 Freightliner replaces the 1981 Mack Rescue. The members of the department spent many hours transferring the equipment and on February 16, 2010 placed the unit in service. The Meadowood County Area Fire Department is having a Pasta Supper on March 6, 2010 at the Meadowood Assembly Hall, Bowkerville Rd in Fitzwilliam, NH. The supper will be from 4:30pm - 7pm. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
