2nd Annual Meadowood County Area Fire Department Golf Tournament

Please join The Meadowood County Area Fire Department on June 6 at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene for the second annual golf tournament and a fun-filled day of golf, food and prizes. All proceeds will go to benefit this totally self-supported volunteer Fire/Underwater Rescue team in its mission of supplying our community with specialty equipment and professional services.

All golfers will receive a bagged lunch upon registration and each foursome team will be supplied with two golf carts for the day. Then, join us after the tournament for an awards banquet at the Bretwood Club House. Food will be supplied by Bretwood personnel and our own Meadowood members. Bring your family and friends and make a day of it.

MUTUAL AID TO HOLD ANNUAL MEETING FEATURING COMEDIAN JUSTON MCKINNEY.

The Southwestern New Hampshire District Fire Mutual Aid is holding their annual meeting at The Best Western Hotel in Keene NH on Wednesday April 8, 2009 at 1900 hrs with a display of New and Refurbished apparatus at 17:30hrs. Following the meeting there will be a presentation by PSNH and comic relief by JUSTON MCKINNEY.

Juston can be seen headlining comedy clubs all over the country. He has appeared numerous times on NBC’s “The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno” and on several, Comedy Central shows including his own half-hour Comedy Central “Presents” special. He is also a part of the Blue Collar Comedy “The Next Generation” which aired on TBS, and will be on tour in 2008. The tour is hosted by Bill Engvall and also feature Reno Collier, John Caparulo, and Jamie Kaler. The New York Times says he is “Destined for stardom”. The New York Daily News calls him “Hysterical”. His father calls him “to ask for money”.

Qualifications: Must be a firefighter, active or retired, have a motorcycle license, and have access to a street legal motorcycle.

JAMAICA VOL FIRE & RESCUE RECEIVES A GRANT

Jamaica Fire and Rescue Department is pleased to announce that it has been selected to receive a matching grant from the Stratton Foundation for upgrade of its’ base radio and station antenna. Thanks to the generosity of the Stratton foundation the Jamaica station will have a base radio system that will be compatible when the federally mandated switch to narrow band takes place.
