KEENE FD NEW MEMORIAL WALL
After several years of discussion and recently many months of planning the Keene Fire Department has a beautiful Fire Department Memorial. This memorial is dedicated to all of those who have served with Honor, Dignity and Devotion as members of the Keene Fire Department dating back to 1880. The Memorial was funded fully by the Fire Department Relief Association. The Officers of the Relief Association along with a group of members assigned to the Memorial Committee made this project become reality. Their efforts to coordinate the work and see the project completed by their goal of Fire Prevention Week was well done.
The official dedication of the memorial will take place next June at the Annual Firefighters Memorial Service.
I have attached a photo taken today following the placement of the memorial.
