The Peterborough Fire and Rescue Explorer Post #808 will be holding a pig roast on September 14th at the Peterborough Sportsman Club on Old Peterborough Rd. off of Old Dublin Rd.The event will begin at 6PM Department members from outside agencies are $10.00 with department ID. 11 years ago today on September 2, 2002 - Seven members of a family perished in a fiery plane crash off Route 12 by the Swanzey Diner in Swanzey. Dispatchers on duty were Ed Mattson, Tom Redin and Matt Yeatman.

2013 Fire Act Grant Workshop Locations Announced

This is a program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, grants are awarded to fire departments to enhance their ability to protect the public and fire service personnel from fire and related hazards. The following workshops are being offered to assist local departments in preparing their FireAct grant application.

Presentation topics will include: •Programmatic changes since FY 2012 •Funding priorities •AFG funding opportunities •Application evaluation criteria •SAM.gov registration

Additional information •Registration is not required to attend. •Each workshop is approximately 2 hours in length •AFG Regional Representatives should be contacted with any questions regarding workshops in their region
