Today, more then 80 years of experience will walk out the door at the Keene Fire Department with the retirements of Chief Gary Lamoureux, Captain Dean Ericson and Captain Jeff Morel. We at Fire Mutual Aid wish them all a long and happy retirement.

TIME LINE 1985
The Late Great Wilmington Vt. Captain Robert Maynard Sr (red shirt) won the Vt State Firefighter of the Year in 1985. The annual convention was held that year in West Dover. The picture shows the guys putting the finishing touches on Wilmington Engine 4 (1971 S model Maxim) before the parade. Robert Maynard Jr. is one of our part time dispatchers.

ON THIS DATE IN HISTORY
Thirty four years ago on May 20, 1979 - Green Mountain House fire in Wardsboro, Vt. A large 3 story inn was destroyed by one of the worst fires to ever occur in Wardsboro. The inn sat at the intersection of Route 100 and Stratton-Arlington Rd in West Wardsboro. Below is a copy of the original Fire Mutual Aid Log from that day. The items not related to that fire were removed.
