The 2011 Firefighter Safety & Survival Symposium will feature five case studies of local and recent close calls presented by the people who actually experienced the event. Each presenter will discuss their personal story in a moderated open and unbiased roundtable format so we can all learn from their unfortunate experience.
Roundtable close call survivor presentations will include: · Rapid fire development in an occupied multiple dwelling· Firefighter entrapment in a commercial building· Apparatus struck while operating at a motor vehicle accident· Firefighter through a floor in a single family dwelling· Resuscitation of an on-scene firefighter cardiac arrestEach speaker has graciously agreed to donate their time, allowing us to make this very affordable program a benefit fundraiser… At least $10 of your tuition will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation!
For more information please see the attached class posting. There is a cost savings for FIOANH members, and membership is open to anyone interested in the furtherance of fire service training. A membership application is also attached.
